On September 12-13, 2018, Dr. Longfei Shangguan from Princeton University gave a talk about "Harnessing the Internet of (too many) Wireless Things". This report mainly introduced two solutions to push the limits of connectivity in IoT devices. The first system, Wi-Fi Goes Town, provides seamless wireless connectivity for high speed automobiles by very small wireless cells. The second system, PLoRa, is a software-hardware co-design that enables long-range bachscatter communication among low-power IoT devices.
