The Hubei Provincial Engineering Laboratory for Space-Integrated-Ground Information Networks is one of the most influential laboratories of Space-Integrated-Ground  Information Networks in China. Founded by Huazhong University of Science and Technology together with China Institute of Electronic Science, Wuhan Fenghuo Technology Company Ltd, Southeast University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, it plays an important role in the national mega-project of Space-Integrated-Ground Information Networks, which is the first launched mega-project in Mega-projects of Scientific and Technological Innovation 2030.

With about 350 members and more than 70 investigators, we focus on the design and analysis of network protocols, coding and modulation techniques in the area of space-Integrated-ground information networks. We are working on quantities of research areas such as network protocols, Low Density Parity Check Code(LDPC), Polar Code and Filter Bank based Multi-Carrier (FBMC) Modulation.

Our goal is to create an engineering platform, which is the source of technical innovation for industries, as well as the base of technical services and training where we can explore revolutionary new techniques.

The Joint Research Center for Space-Ground Integrated Information Networks is founded by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and China Institute of Electronic Science. It is set up to promote the key-technical research, industrial application and dissemination of network communication in the area of space-ground integrated information networks. Our joint research center focuses on the research about application/services, storage/computation, coding and modulation.

We aim to recruit tip-top professional and innovative researchers, conduct innovative research and standardized work in the area of space-ground integrated information networks as well as major scientific projects. Additionally, we plan to build a demo system for national mega-projects, and transfer military-civilian techniques.
